What is the Oolong Tea Diet?

You may have heard of a diet that involves drinking glasses of oolong tea for weight reduction. This diet has been called Wuyi diet or oolong diet, named after the Wuyi Mountains in China, where the oolong originates from.

Oolong tea gets all its benefits form the Polyphenols in the tea. It is a substance in the tea that helps to control obesity by curbing your appetite and also helps to improve or raise your metabolism.

The oolong tea diet is formed from the antioxidants it contains. More than green tea and black tea because of the different processing stages it goes through. It’s roasting is less than black tea which leaves it with more nutrients and minerals. The taste is generally richer and is a darker color because of where it comes from.

The difference in flavor between green tea and oolong tea is because green tea leaves lose their minerals after the first brewing. You can brew oolong tea leaves many times and their flavor gets better after each time.

The polyphenols in the tea work to speed up your metabolism so that you burn more calories. It also helps to get rid of and fight triglycerides which cause fat to store in the body. The polyphenols also flush harmful toxins out of your body to cleanse it of toxic waste. This helps in the digestive process.

Also, the oolong diet tea helps you feel fuller, and most people will drink five to six glasses per day, mainly half an hour before meal time, and then they eat less.
