Find Some Cool Fat Smash Diet Tips

Dr. Ian Smith created a television show for VH1 called Celebrity Fit Club, in which celebrities competed to lose weight, and along with the show created a diet called the fat smash diet. The diet encourages people to eat better while at the same time to become more active.

Ian Smith, the fat smash diet author, has quite a resume. He’s Harvard educated, consults on health for a number of television shows, and is on the board for the American Council on Exercise. He also created the TV show that was centered around his fat smash diet.

The fat smash diet is separated into four phases designed to smash bad habits and create new healthy habits. These phases are:

One – detox: People can lose as much as 10 pounds in nine days by removing negative food and spiritual influences from their lives. Dr. Smith had some strangely useless suggestions for this phase such as walking around naked.

Two – foundation: Some foods removed during detox are reintegrated during this three week phase in the smash diet. These include the 3 ounces of meat or seafood, and is based on portion control rather than calorie count.

Three – construction: This a four-week phase is a time during which the dieter creates an eating plan that incorporates foods they enjoy. Moderation is important when things like sweets and breads are added back to the diet.

Four – Temple: This part of the fat smash diet lasts a life time. The temple built in the first three phases must now be maintained through will power and control.

Fat smash diet has both good and bad aspects. The weight lost in phase one is really due to starvations, which isn’t good. In addition the nine day detox is considered unhealthy by many health experts. However the lessons of moderation and exercise proposed by the fat smash diet are good ones.
